Formed in 1994, Off
The Record has always been about fun, danceable,
quality Rock and Pop music. Specializing in radio
hits of the 60’s and 70’s (with some
50’s and 80’s thrown in for good measure!),
and that means songs immediately familiar to a wide
audience. These songs are presented with authenticity
and enthusiasm by a band composed of members from
some of the Portland area’s better-known bands.
Lorri Calhoun, vocals, keyboard, and percussion
has been lead vocalist for the popular Nimble Darts.
Greg Georgeson is best known as the guitarist,
vocalist, and songwriter of the band Sequel. Over
the years, Sequel has opened for Journey, The Tubes,
and Sammy Hagar.
Greg Oberst, as the drummer of Peter Bilt and the
Expressions, has opened shows for Oingo Boingo,
and the Go Gos. He has toured Alaska and Hawaii.
Robert Russell, the newest member of Off the Record,
having played both nightclubs and concert settings
up and down the West Coast for a number of years
has his own musical dealership. |
