BAND BIOGRAPHY
Fans of Latin music will be delighted by the the sizzling, red-hot sound of this 10-piece Caribbean salsa
band. In 2003, eight musicians and singers brought their extensive experience and talents together to form the band, with the intention of diversifying the latin music scene here in the Northwest. Not only does Aguamiel feature traditional latin styles, but also includes the contemporary Cuban musical style known as timba, filled
with hip-hop, funk and jazz inspired bass patterns and aggressive rhythms. The musicians are veteran
salsa players who are equally at home playing in both the old Cuban and contemporary styles. The band
members represent a diversity of cultures in their own right while dedicated to expanding Latino culture
through their music.
